THE SENSE OF A DISABLED PERSON IN THE STATUTE OF THE DISABLED PERSON IN COMPARISON OF NEWSPAPERS OF GREAT CIRCULATION

ABSTRACT

The objective of this work is to understand the constitution of the senses of disabled people in different materialities. To do so, we selected four cuts from the Disability Statute and three articles from major newspapers, O Globo, Folha De São Paulo and O Estado de São Paulo. We ask, then, how the constitution of the sense of person with disability generates divisions in the space of enunciation. As a theoretical basis, we adopt Semantics of the Event, proposed by Eduardo Guimarães (2002, 2005), which considers enunciation as a political practice, observing the ways in which the language / world relationship is constituted. According to him, to consider enunciation as a political practice has a very specific meaning in this theory, characterized by the contradiction of a normativity that establishes a division of the real. (GUIMARÃES, 2002, p.16). As a method of analysis, we use the analytic procedures of the enunciation of Semantics of the Event: the rewriting which is the way in which the enunciation redraws what has already been said, assigning certain meanings as a result of these rewritings and the articulation, relations of the words with others in the statements text. From the analyzes, we elaborated a Semantic Domain of Determination (DSD) of each cut. As a hypothesis of the work we have: the first, that the statements can point to social places that defend equality, and the second that the statements can reaffirm the inequalities between people with disabilities and other people, referring to the politician in language, dividing and distributing the places for the handicapped.
