INTERRELATIONS BETWEEN APHASIC SUBJECTS, LANGUAGE AND DIFFERENT BRAIN LESIONS

ABSTRACT
Since ancient times, several studies have sought to explain and demonstrate the relation between the injured brain area and the "symptoms" ofaphasic. The specialized literature, highlighting Luria (1981), discusses this issue by analyzing the injuries of wounded soldiers at war. This study is anchored on the assumptions of Discursive Neurolinguístic based on the studies of Luria (1981) on the functioning of the central nervous system. The aim of this study is to analyze the linguistic manifestations of aphasic patients, correlating them with the type of injury presented by there search participant sand the individual aspects of each subject, thus characterizing the type of aphasia, within Luria´s perspective. In addition, this research was conducted to identify the similarities and differences about the aphasy frame work presented by the informants. The analysis was performed on subjects inserted in the Home Care Program and individuals from the private hospital - Brandão Rehabilitation Institute (IBR) in the city of Vitoria da Conquista / BA. During the evaluations, wedescribed the language productions of each subject, considering age, gender, education level, occupation and psychosocial aspects, having adopted for this study a qualitative analysis methodology. This research was conducted with a total of 8 subjects, among which we classified the types of aphasia, matching the type of injury to the language expression manifested by each subject, describing the similarities and differences between there search participant sand the descriptions of classification of aphasia according to the postulatedby Luria (1981). Throughout this work, it can be seen that there are multiple conflicts concerning the classification of aphasia, both regards the locationo fissues as the directed and expected relation with their linguistic manifestations. Basedon this research, it was observed that the conducted analyzes, supported on Luria´s theories, are not closed to the rank of each individual language changes.
